NDC To Petition Otumfour Over Alleged Election Fraud Before Going To Court


The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reportedly run to the king of Ashanti, Otumfour Osei Tutu II for help after losing the presidential and majority in parliament in the 2020 general elections.

The NDC Chairman of the Ashanti Region, Augustus Nana Akwasi said in a report by ab-tc.com that there were irregularities in the electoral process, and in their quest to use appropriate channels to bring a solution to the issue, they want to first present their petition to the Manhyia Palace.

According to the NDC’s Ashanti Region Chairman Augustus Nana Akwas

“There are several infractions and irregularities that have transpired at almost all the polling stations across the country and as peace-loving citizens of this country, we want to use the appropriate channels but first we will march from Asawase to Manhyia Palace to put before the Asantehene our petition”.

He added that;

The national executives of the NDC party have ben working on the issues but we the Ashanti Region feel it appropriate to call on the Otumfuo to intervene.
