Upon careful observation and intelligence gained from outside; the police at swedru were equip with information that some hulks whose activities seemed suspicious were lodging in a Hotel at swedru. Upon pursuit, it was found out that these men-Saddick Abubakar, Gordon Kunya, Isaac Addea and Dauda Fatua posseed a knife, cutlass, a lighter and two packs of Razzles. Two cheques each worth GH₵5000.

The four suspects – Saddick Abubakar, Gordon Kunya, Isaac Addea and Dauda Fatua were arrested by the police on Saturday, October 17, 2020, in the hotel at Agona Swedru in the Central region where they were lodging.
Upon interrogation, they confided in the police that they were contracted by The National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate for Agona West, paul Ofori Amoah to kill his counterpart Cynthia Mamle Morrison, the NPP parliamentary candidate who is the incumbent MP and doubles as the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection.
The Central Regional Police Command upon hearing this invited Paul Ofori Amoah to the police station who have been said to have had a hand in an alleged plot to kill his political rival.
Paul Ofori admitted that the cheques were signed by him but he has no hand in the said plot. He indicated that he saw the men while taking a stroll with his friends and decided to book a place for them.
For him, he thinks it is a strategy to sway off the NDC from it course but he believes nothing can sway their focus and their winning hands down come December 7.
The said suspects arrested at the hotel, however, have been remanded into custody by a Cape Coast Circuit Court and are to make another appearance on October 30, 2020.
