Kwesi Arthur Reacts To Akufo Addo’s Lifting Of Partial Lockdown Ban

Rapper Kwesi Arthur has reacted to the lifting of the partial lockdown imposed on some parts of Ghana as announced by the president three weeks ago.

The partial lockdown which was announced by H.E Nana Akufo Addo as part of measures to control and treat the spread of the virus were imposed on Tema, Accra, Kumasi and Kasoa.

With regards to the president’s new directive to ease restrictions among Ghanaians in the lockdown areas, rapper Kwesi Arthur has hinted of staying indoors to avoid contracting the virus.

Ghanaians, mostly in the lockdwon areas have expressed happiness after NanaAddo Dankwa Akufo-Addo revealed during his ‘ritualistic’ speech that he has lifted the partial lockdown on Accra, Tema, Kasoa and Kumasi.

Meanwhile, the number of Coronavirus cases in Ghana has increased after more than 68000 test results were received.

Currently, the number of cases in Ghana is 1042 with 9 deaths and 99 recoveries. The regional breakdown of the cases showed that the Greater Accra Regional leads with 882 cases.

An update from the Ghana Health Service website reads;


The Ghana Health Service is continuing with the supervision of the completion of a backlog of laboratory samples which have been picked for testing for COVID-19.

Total samples tested so far now stands at 68,591 with 1.52 % testing positive. The results of these backlog of samples when released does not mean the number of new cases recorded on the day of the report. Regions that have reported cases remain the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Northern, Volta, Upper East, Upper West, Central, Western and North East regions.
