The 2022 FIFA World Cup is an association football tournament, contested by the men’s national teams of FIFA’s member associations and the 22nd FIFA World Cup.
The 22nd edition of the FIFA World cup will take place in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December 2022.
This will be the first World Cup to be held in the Arab World, and the second World Cup held entirely in Asia after the 2002 tournament in South Korea and Japan.

The Arab side has indeed worked tirelessly in collaboration with the world’s international football body, FIFA to put up eight 8 solid stadiums to manage the affairs of the tournament.

Lusail Stadium – Lusail stadium
The Lusail stadium is the largest stadium with a capacity of 80,00 seats. The grand openeing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World cup will be held at the Lusail Stadium.
The Lusail stadium will host 5x Group Matches, 1x Round of 16, 1x Quarter-Final, 1x Semi-Final and the Grande finale.
Al Khor – Al Bayt Stadium
Al Bayt Stadium has a capacity of 60,000 seats. The Al Bayt stadium will host 5x Group Matches (incl. Opening Match), 1x Round of 16 1x Quarter-Final & 1x Semi-Final.
Al Wakrah – Al Janoub stadium
The 40,000 capacity Al Janoub stadium will host 5x Group Matches
1x Round of 16. In 2019, the Al Janoub stadium opened.
Al Rayyan – Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium
The Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium has a capacity of 40,000 seats. It was completed in the year 2020. 1x Round of 16 and 5x Group Matches would be witnessed at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.
Doha – Khalifa International Stadium
Doha, the capital of Qatar will also have a feel of the most prestigious men’s football competition. The Khalifa International stadium has a capacity of 40,000 seats.
The stadium will host 5x Group Matches, 1x Round of 16 and Match for Third Place.
Doha – Education City Stadium
It’s never a strange thing for the capital city of Qatar to have 4 stadia to assist the management of the affairs of the 2022 FIFA World cup.
The capacity of the Education City Stadium is equally to that of Khalifa International stadium with 40,000 seats.
The fully furnished stadium will host 5x Group Matches, 1x Round of 16 and 1x Quarter-Final.

Stadium 974 has a total capacity of 40,000 seats as it hosts 5x Group Matches and 1x Round of 16.

The total capacity of Al Thumama stadium is 40,000 seats.
