Fake Takoradi Kidnapping Woman, Joana Krah Sentenced To 6 Years Imprisonment

Joana Krah, the 29-year-old woman who allegedly faked her own kidnapping that brought Ghana to a standstill has been sentenced to six years imprisonment.

The woman has been sentenced along with two other accomplices, in the persons of Mr Francis Eshun and Madam Susanna Awortwe.

Her sentencing came after she was charged with staging her own kidnapping by the Takoradi Circuit Court, presided over by Justice Michael K. Ampadu.

Madam Joana Krah was charged with spreading false information and misleading the public after she pretended to be abducted in order to receive GHc5,000 from her adopted father.

After her foster father reported the incident to the police, an exploratory search was initiated to ascertain the veracity of the claims. She showed up at the Takoradi Central Police Station on Saturday, October 23.

Joana Krah admitted to the crime she is accused of, according to a statement made by the police on Monday, October 25th, 2021.

She pleaded guilty to all of the accusations filed against her and was sentenced to six-year in prison with hard labour
