Finally, the wait is over, ECOWAS breaks silence on the severe maltreatment suffered by the ##EndSARS protestors in the hands of the Nigerian army.
In a press release, the president of ECOWAS Commission, H.E Jean Claude Kassi Brou, urged on the angry protestors to exercise some level of patience and execute what the law permits them in a rightful manner. He urged them to protest in a violent free manner.
ECOWAS also called on the president of the federal republic of Nigeria to hurry with investigations into the shooting and what would-be described as useless killing of citizens.
For more than 7 days now, the youths of the federal republic had been fighting against inhumane treatments meted out to them by their own police.
For weeks ECOWAS never seemed to bat an eye when calls were made for them to speak on the brutality. This resulted in the death of many a Nigerian citizen.
