Kofi Abban, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rigworld Group noted for settling the feud between two Ghanaian dancehall heavyweights – Shatta Wale and Stone bwoy – has been appointed a member of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club’s Board of Directors.
According to a letter signed by Kofi Badu, Chief of Staff of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, the sole share-holder of the club. Kofi Abban’s appointment took effect from July 1 2020.
Dr. Kofi Abban will serve for three football seasons as defined by the calendar of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Giving details of what is expected of the Board of Directors, Mr Badu explained:
“the Board bears collective responsibility for all the acts and omissions of the Club and it behoves it to endeavour to adopt the most appropriate corporate practice in the conduct of its affairs.”
He also stated that;
“The Board will be the highest decision making body, responsible to the sole share-holder for policy formulation as well as the exercise of active oversight over the management, development, financial control, technical direction and performance of the Club.”
