International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has released their best African XI for the decade (2011 – 2020) and the only Ghanaian player who was able to make the list is Andrew Dede Ayew.
Egypt, Senegal, and Ivory Coast have two players each in the Africa XI of the decade.
The defense is made of Ahmed Fathi of Egypt, Benatia of Morocco, Senegal’s Koulibaliy, and Eric Bailly of Ivory Coast.
In midfield, we have Ghana’s only rep Andre Dede Ayew, Yaya Toure of Ivory Coast and Algeria’s Riyad Mahrez.
Sadio Mane of Senegal, Aubameyang of Gabon, and Mohamed Salah lead the attack with Nigeria’s Victor Enyeama as a goalkeeper.
