Some angry youth stormed the studios of TV 3 to prevent an ongoing interview session with some members of the LGBT (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgender) community.
Before the day of the show, the host, Berla Mundi posted a pre-recorded video on social media platforms.
In the video, Berla was seen interviewing three members of the LBGTQ community identified as Angela Nana Yaa Boateng (transgender), Moses K. Nana Bentil (gay ), and Akwesi Kardashian(gay).
It was probably the video she posted on social media that triggered the anger in the youth who stormed the station to stop the show from airing.
Finally, on Saturday, the day of the show, the angry youth mob stormed TV3 to register their displeasure with the management of the station.
They went to the station dressed in red, to demand answers from the management for giving the audience to the ‘outcast.’
The news on this development came to the public domain after one staff at the station posted it on her Twitter.
A group of people actually stormed to TV3 this afternoon to demand that we go off air because we spoke about issues facing transgendered people. https://t.co/1VXUoDM4bQ
